Why can’t I open HEIC files?
HEIC is an efficient format used by iPhones, but many programs and websites still only accept JPG or PNG.
Is the location of my photo removed?
Yes. The converted photo is rebuilt from its pixels, so GPS location and other hidden metadata are not copied.
