Problem
Most calorie trackers want an account, push a subscription and send your eating habits to a server. Logging also has to be quick enough to do at every meal, or people stop.
Solution
Calories keeps the whole diary in a database on the phone, with no account. Foods come from a bundled copy of the ANSES-CIQUAL food table that works offline, from Open Food Facts by search or barcode, or from your own foods, in units such as “large egg” or “slice”. Meals and recipes can be saved and copied to another day. The daily target is calculated from your profile and adjusted by weekly weigh-ins, and the protein target comes with concrete food suggestions. Apple Health and Health Connect sync, reminders and backups complete it.

In public beta on iOS and Android.
